Tom Usborne recently made a huge announcement about the upcoming new features of GeneratePress Premium 1.6. Along with a ton of other tweaks and enhancements, the new version comes with the ability to choose from GeneratePress Sites!
What Is A GeneratePress Site?
These are importable starter sites that are built to give you a head start when building new websites. Think of it as demo designs, or theme designs.
Tom gives more details:
These sites include GeneratePress options and demo content. If you already have content, you can choose to only import the GeneratePress options. The demo content should only ever be imported on fresh website with no content.
As time goes on, we’ll be release more and more of these sites, which will be delivered to your Dashboard automatically.
The extra cool part? You can build and sell your own GeneratePress Sites! They’re super easy to export and package up. More on that soon!
I really like that ability to build and sell your own. Ding! Ding! Ding!
Read the rest of Tom’s post for more, but in the meantime, I wanted to give you some visuals to help you see exactly what all this looks like.
Two major notes before we begin…
As Tom notes, “These sites include GeneratePress options and demo content. If you already have content, you can choose to only import the GeneratePress options. The demo content should only ever be imported on fresh website with no content.“
Each of these GP Sites may require certain plugins to work. Some may be designed to make use of Elementor (free or Pro) Page Builder, some may be designed to work with Beaver Builder (Lite or Paid), and some may not require a Page Builder at all. All usually require at least one or two plugins of some sort (social, contact form, etc.) to be installed. But each lists what is required, and there’s no manual work involved. The installation process of the GP Site takes care of everything nicely. You’ll see the process in the images below.

If removing the GP Site, after following the previous steps, also check the Page Headers Global Locations for any changes that need to rolled back
Great Designs To Begin With
The various sites that initially come included are created by several great designers, including some of my favorite people, such as Mor Cohen of FlixFrame and David Beckwith of FlintSkin. I don’t want to imply that the other designers aren’t fabulous as well. It’s just that I’ve had a lot of interaction with both Mor and David on the Elementor and GeneratePress Facebook groups, so I was happy to see their work here. Other designers with amazing GP Sites in this collection include Barna Buxbaum, Mike Oliver, Paul Lacey, and Richard Bland.
My Wishlist
SORT/FILTER: There will be more sites added, and I hope eventually they will be able to be sorted or filtered by type of Page Builder required, as I think it will be important as the library grows, to be able to see only certain types, or filter out the ones that require page builders you definitely won’t be using.
UNDO: A better removal process would be great. If you change your mind, or want to try out a few different ones, the current manual removal process is a bit of a drag. I have a feeling that will be the biggest pain point for many. I would like to see this be a one-click (or even a few-clicks) process in the future.
I’m seriously excited about GeneratePress Sites, and can’t wait for it to come out of beta so we can all start making use of it. The process is simple and intuitive and the sites themselves are beautifully crafted.

Hey Donna, is it possible to lay hands on Generatepress’s premade sites beta version? I have GP Premium already and am drooling over the anticipated release of version 1.6
